  • Discuss factors that contribute to inequities and disparities in care within Canadian radiation oncology and develop strategies to promote equitable access to care  

  • Develop and promote strategies for workforce retention and recruitment in radiation oncology  

  • Describe best practices related to the delivery of high-quality and safe radiotherapy

CROF Run/Walk

In Support of the Dr. Pamela Catton Summer Studentship

The Run / Walk will take place on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 3:45pm in beautiful Vancouver, during the CARO Annual Scientific Meeting. 

Lace up to run or walk to support Radiation Oncology and help improve the quality of care for all Canadians with cancer!

You don’t need to be an athlete to take part in this event, which takes place during the CARO Annual Scientific Meeting. Choose to run a five-kilometer route or walk for three kilometers – it’s all for fun and a great cause.

Past Annual Scientific Meetings

Radiation Oncology is a constantly evolving discipline. For more than three decades, CARO has organized Annual Scientific Meetings to help our members stay on the leading edge of their field. These well-attended events highlight the latest research in Radiation Oncology, feature renowned experts as guest speakers, and provide opportunities to attend workshops and refresher courses and network with peers.

CARO also collaborates with the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists (COMP) occasionally to organize Joint Scientific Meetings highlighting our interconnected disciplines.
