Radiation Therapy ($500)
The practice of Radiation Oncology involves a multidisciplinary approach, and it is CARO’s desire that the annual meeting reflects this reality. To encourage all health professionals of the radiation oncology team to participate in and contribute to the CARO Annual Scientific Meeting, the Education Committee has created additional awards to acknowledge the research work carried out by non-physicians. One award to staff or trainee per physics, radiation therapy and nursing or allied health professional will be given for the abstract from each discipline found to be the most relevant to the practice of radiation oncology, based on the ratings of the blinded Abstract Review process prior to the CARO ASM.Winner: Merrylee McGuffin.
