Nominations are open for the 2025 CARO Gold Medal and Gordon Richards Lecture.

The CARO Gold Medal and Gordon Richards Lecture is CARO's most prestigious award. It is presented to a Canadian Radiation Oncologist to honour their outstanding contributions to the field of Radiation Oncology within Canada, and beyond.

Criteria:

In keeping with the Association’s Mission, Vision and Values, the CARO Gold Medal and Gordon Richards Lecture nominee has demonstrated a sustained commitment and a significant contribution to the field of Radiation Oncology within Canada.

At least one letter of nomination from an active CARO Member with the nominee’s curriculum vitae must be submitted to the Awards Committee. Letters of nomination and support must include detailed information that will document the individual’s outstanding contribution to the advancement of Radiation Oncology and CARO.

Eligibility:

A Radiation Oncologist who is a CARO member in good standing.
