The CROF Networking event series was created during the COVID-19 pandemic to assist radiation oncology resident physicians across Canada connect with Department Chairs. Our priorities were to facilitate career decision-making, encourage electives, and to present residents with opportunities to learn about cancer centres they otherwise would not learn about, especially during the pandemic when in-person networking was not possible. The Networking events have also been greatly appreciated by Department Chairs who are able to connect with prospective candidates they would like to consider for jobs. Each event features 3-4 Department Chairs from radiation centres across Canada and are given the opportunity to speak in a small group setting.
