Luc Beaulieu
Biography
Luc Beaulieu is a full professor at Université Laval, Director of the CAMPEP graduate program and also Director of University Laval Cancer Research Centre.
From 2010 to 2016, he served on the Board of the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists as President Elect, President and Past President. Prof. Beaulieu is a recognized expert and an active researcher in the field scintillation dosimetry (with application to small field and in vivo dosimetry) and brachytherapy physics and technology. He is further interested to use and implementation of advanced dose calculation methods in brachytherapy. In that area, he chaired the AAPM/ESTRO/ABS/ABG TG-186 and spearheaded the AAPM/ESTRO/ABG Working Group on Model-Based Dose Calculations in brachytherapy. He is an active member of the AAPM Brachytherapy Subcommittee, the ABS physics committee and a member of various working groups and task groups within AAPM and ESTRO.
Since November 2015, he is the holder of an NSERC Industrial Research Chair related to biomedical technology for brachytherapy.
